So, back, again. Few life updates – new site design for both NNR and kabrenlevinson.com, my personal homepage. I had a wonderful first year in college, and cannot wait for more. I’m going to try and work out a schedule so I can actually record more episodes in college, but expect at least two more for the summer!

Note: I know it has been a while since I’ve recorded a podcast. And, in all honesty, I probably won’t get to record one before my Spring Break in late march. I sincerely apologize. It’s not right. Hope you’re still interested. After all, it is this Podcast that got me to where I am today. Thank you.

I will be speaking on a panel at SXSW Interactive 2009, in just a few weeks. I’m excited. A year ago, I barely dreamed of attending SXSW, but being able to speak is such an honor. For those of you who don’t know about the organization, SXSW is a company that is devloted to histing and promoting events related to media. They ahve three conferences: Music, Film, and Interactive. In August, Alex Leavitt, a senior at Boston University, invited me to speak on his panel – he had been loking into my Academic Technology work and was interested in my EduTech program I created at the Cambridge School of Weston. I was amazed – my only previous speaking engagemtns were at PodCamps in the Boston area and at an education conference in Hawaii. I didn’t realize the impact of my work as a high school student. Of course, I accepted his offer.

So, Here I am, creating my own Educational and Technological Philosophy. I’ve just begun rethinking and redefining my thoughts on Education and Technology. Once I have something, I’ll let you know.

The traditional classroom: obsolete? Chalkboards, lectures, and even teachers may be on their way out as social technology enters the classroom. How do kids want technology integrated into the curriculum? Or do they even want it? Five students speak out to debate the potential for Wikis, backchannels, and social tech, and dispute tomorrow’s r/evolution in teaching and learning.

Dear Nerd News Radio Fans,

I’m still here. I have not given up podcasting – I wouldn’t even think of giving it up. I just haven’t had the time. I’ve even lots touch with music – I barely practice these days. I need to figure out how to work my podcast, my music, and other things, back into my life. I want to. I haven’t forgotten Nerd News Radio. I still get emails every now and then, saying something along the lines of “please do a podcast.” It means a lot. I hope you will keep listening – go back, listen to past episodes and give me feedback for how I could improve the podcast and the site. I love Nerd News Radio. I’ve been through “downfalls” before (think 2006), but I will never forget.

I can guarantee I will record an episode of Nerd News Radio over Thanksgiving break, and maybe even sooner, though I doubt it. I will record over winter break, too. Send me emails, it helps. I have a lot of work, but I have been able to keep up with my blog. Check it out.

Facebook recently launched their new pages feature, so, naturally, I went ahead and created a page for Nerd News Radio. It’s meant for people to promote their businesses, services, brands, etc. It’s integrated with their new ad campaign feature. People can become fans of these pages, so, you all should go ahead and do so!

This isn’t a replacement for groups, but rather an addition for more professional businesses and services.

Hello fellow nerds,
It has been a while, hope you all read my letter, which by the way got ZERO response, except on digg (it was dugg down by apple zealots), and now I have some issues.
First off, The “Manage Posts” page in my wordpress admin panel is gone. That’s right folks, it’s gone. I’m currently working on the problem with a couple of other people, but it’s not easy.
Secondly, my Preamp/Parametric EQ/Compressor just died. It was one hell of a machine, the Presonus Eureka, but boy do I feel lost without it. It’ll be 65 bucks to repair, since it’s off warantee. Still nothing to the original price (feel free to look it up).
I’m going to try to do a podcast tomorrow, because there are a LOT of issues I want to talk about. It’ll be low quality, unless I can get some plugins and fun stuff going, but we’ll see.

Hey guys,

There was a Dreamhost(my webhost) outage earlier today. For some people it’s still going on. They had a huge outage with a Fileserver. I happened to be on that filesever, and my website was brought back quickly compared to others (some sites are still not back up).

Kudos to Dreamhost. I have been VERY sastified with their support.

Hey Guys! I know it’s been a while. I’ve been REALLY busy with all sorts of things. As you can see, the website has been revamped, and is still in the process of being spiced up. There were some issues for the past look for the Admin Panel, so that’s fixed. I am still getting back the old header image, resizing, re coloring etc. There will HOPEFULLY be another issue of NNR this Sunday, providing that nothing comes up. Hope to see you then!

There will be another episode out this weekend, after a month of technical problems. Keep on going in the forums, they have sort of died, so keep those going, I will try to be more of an active poster in the future. Look foward to this weekend!

I have been getting suggestions on what to make the title of the show. So starting Sunday, it is going to be NNR #1. Episode Number One being on sunday. Just to let you know.
